Zenitsu has a very keen sense of hearing where if he focuses he can even tell if you're lying based off of the sounds your body makes (as well as any basic emotion), as well as picking up on conversations that go on while he's asleep.
Canonly, he's also able to distinguish the difference between who is human and who isn't (aka demon); he quickly figures out that Nezuko, who's in the wooden container Tanjiro carries on his back, is a demon without seeing her.
Zenitsu can also pick up on how your character's general personality as well, as he does with Tanjiro when they first meet—Zenitsu narrates in his monologue that he's never heard of a sound so kind before, that it almost makes him cry. Now, whether Zenitsu can pick up personality traits just from sound generally won't change whether he will trust said person or not, as he ignores his own instincts a lot.
I understand this can get a little iffy when it comes to RP. I will generally be using this ability as a means to sense any immediate danger or otherwise indicated by the other player that it is ok for me to have Zenitsu pick up more from their characters. Please let me know if Zenitsu can pick up sounds from your character by opting in (or out)!

Extent of what Zenitsu can pick up: general. just that extraordinarily gracious to be here, but also very sad. like she may be smiling and happy, but there is always sorrow behind everything. no reading of intention/current emotions, please.
Notes for anything I should have Zenitsu pick up on: she's not human. idk if he can hear divine energy (i honestly have no idea what it would sound like, maybe like the simplest of sine functions? but probably something purely neutral), but that would be her! maybe he can "hear" that there is some kinda restraint in place.
